Patrician Winter

I have rarely worn pattern, all my life.  I realize now that I didn't like how patterns worked because most of them are wrong for Winters.  I found this red and white check and I really like it. I did have to push myself to buy it and wear it, which seems silly, but old habits die hard.  Read about fabrication for all the seasons at my Closet blog.

I don't know what I think of this level of contrast (medium).  I wore the shirt because it goes with my Doc Martens, below.

Well, at the risk of looking like a bee, I'm trying a Winter yellow.  This is the only yellow I could ever stand - close to lemon but not too bright.  I don't really have the right necklace for this outfit, so I might go try to get something today.  

I'm also getting my eye exam today to get new glasses, but I might wait to actually order any until I get my Caygill analysis at the very beginning of December.  Right now my glasses are brown/bronze, and I'm assuming I can get black frames now, but want to be sure.

Worthington Slim Ankle

Today I'm wearing a thrifted flannel shirt that is actually a jacket with pockets (so cool).  I'm wearing old black jeans that I haven't worn since I spent nearly 3 years dressing summer.  I wanted to wear an old pair of cowboy boots, but had to admit they really don't fit.  So instead I wore these thrifted men's shoes that fit perfectly.
